Current Research

Our research has incorporated both quantitative and qualitative approaches to management and conservation-related problems that affect resource-dependent and downstream communities. Working with communities, and community priorities, impacts of environmental degradation are examined, as are local responses to these changes. Human-related quantitative research and qualitative research ground more conventional ecological studies within the community values and concerns, this ultimately creates more relevant research to the scientific, local, and international community.
